Aftercare Instructions Please follow these instructions carefully to support proper healing and pigment retention. These instructions are general aftercare guidance and do not replace medical advice. First 24 Hours Gently blot lymph fluid or excess moisture with clean gauze or a clean cotton pad as instructed. Keep the treated area clean and dry. Avoid direct water pressure and avoid touching the area with unwashed hands. Apply only the recommended aftercare product, if provided, in a very thin layer. Do not over-apply ointment. Days 1-14: Avoid Swimming, hot tubs, saunas, steam rooms, heavy sweating, and strenuous exercise that causes excessive sweating. Makeup, skincare products, facial cleansers, exfoliants, masks, sunscreen, or oils directly on the treated area until healed. Retin-A, retinol, glycolic acid, chemical peels, laser treatments, microdermabrasion, and other active skin treatments near the area. Picking, peeling, rubbing, or scratching the treated area. Let any flaking come off naturally. Direct sun exposure and tanning beds. Sun exposure during healing may increase fading and the risk of hyperpigmentation, especially in sensitive skin types. Lip Blush Specific Aftercare Keep lips moisturized with the recommended balm/ointment. Apply with clean hands or a clean cotton swab. Avoid spicy, salty, acidic, or very hot foods/drinks for the first 24-48 hours if the lips feel sensitive. Avoid kissing, oral contact, and sharing cups or utensils during the initial healing period to reduce irritation and contamination risk. When to Seek Medical Advice After Healing If you have a history of cold sores/herpes simplex, lip blushing may trigger a recurrence, sometimes around day 4 after the procedure. Consult your physician or pharmacist about preventive antiviral medication if appropriate. Contact a physician promptly if you notice fever, increasing redness, unusual swelling, worsening pain, warmth, red streaks, or green/yellow discharge with odor. Sun exposure can fade pigment and may contribute to discoloration or hyperpigmentation. A complimentary retouch, if included, must be completed within 2 months of the initial procedure unless otherwise stated. The retouch is not mandatory and is only for adjustments if needed.
